William Gary Adams

William Gary Adams, 77, of Arp, Texas, went to be with the Lord on January 21, 2023, in Tyler, Texas. He was born January 19, 1946, in Big Spring, Texas, to William Arthur and Jimmie Lee Gadburry Adams.

Funeral services for William Adams will be at 2:00, Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Truth Tabernacle Church, Overton, with Reverend Stephen Hicks officiating. Burial to follow at McKnight Cemetery in Cushing, Texas at 4:00 pm.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 27, 2023, at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.

William was a dedicated father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family, watching the Dallas Cowboys play football, and tending to his cows. He worked as a Forklift Driver in the Sawmill for many years. He was a member of Truth Tabernacle Church of Overton.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, David Adams.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sue Adams of Arp; sons, Dave Adams of Knightdale, NC, Gary Adams and wife Ashley of Overton; daughter, Valorie Ross of Mesquite; brother, Leonard Adams of Tyler; sisters, Martha Williams of Grand Prairie, and Linda Dunsmore of Houston; grandchildren, Alex Ross, Andrew Ross, Johnathan Adams, Jocelyn Adams, Cooper Adams, and Scarlett Adams.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.
