A. D. Sanders, Jr.

AD Sanders, Jr., 81, of Henderson, Texas, passed away on January 6, 2021. He was born October 22, 1939, in Shake Rag, Texas to the late Autry Dee and Jewel Sanders.

Memorial services for AD Sanders will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, January 30, 2021, at Martin’s Chapel Nazarene Church, Troup with Reverend David Baker officiating.

He was an Army veteran. He loved woodworking, he would take a piece of wood and hand carve beautiful ducks from it, the only bad thing is he loved them so much he rarely shared them with others. He could fix anything, he loved taking things apart and putting them back together, just to see how they worked.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lucille Sanders, his siblings. Mayburn, Andy, and Joyce.

He is survived by his children, Paul Sanders, and wife Leta, Pete Sanders and wife Angie, and Tina Sanders; grandchildren, Heather Bunton and husband Brian, Andrew Sanders and wife Jessica, Maggie Bird, and Joshua Sanders and wife Heatherdawn; great-grandchildren, Judson Bunton, Kyndall Sanders, and Gavin Sanders; and sister, Joan Nelson.

Arrangements are under the direction of Heatherdawn Sanders and Leta Sanders.
