Augusta Darlene (Luce) Pitts

Augusta Darlene Pitts, 70, of Troup, Texas, passed away on November 6, 2020, in Tyler, Texas. She was born January 2, 1950, in Tyler, Texas to the late James Muril Luce and Dorothy Ann Murphy.

Graveside services will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at Mixon Cemetery, Troup with Reverend Joe Ballard officiating.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at Cottle Funeral Home Chapel, Troup.

Darlene lived in Troup all her life. She loved crocheting, sewing, watching hummingbirds, and fishing. She married the love of her life in 1979. She was retired as a certified nurse. She enjoyed watching Green Acres Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband Martin “Otis” Pitts of Troup; 3 children, Michael James Davis of Troup, Billy Joe Pitts, and wife Tricia of Troup, Amanda S. Gerstenberger and husband Raymond of Tyler; 2 sisters, Jan Luce Hardisty, Frances Candy Luce Mason; 3 grandchildren, Tobias Randall Tootle-Pitts, Shane Hamilton Gerstenberger and Kayla Ryleigh Gerstenberger. Bunches of nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
