Barbara Jean Shuttlesworth, 66, of Arp, Tx, passed away on July 4th ,2023, in Tyler, Texas. She was born on August 7th,1956, in Jacksonville, Tx, to the late Thomas and Hazel Durisoe.
Funeral services for Barbara will be 1:30 pm, Friday, July 7th, 2023, at Lakeview Community Church, Tyler, Texas with Reverend Josh Blizzard and Ronnie Durrett Sr. officiating, with burial following at Concord Cemetery in Troup, Tx.
Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, July 6th, 2023 at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.
Barbara was a resident of the Arp community and a member of the New Life Church. She married the Love of her life, Dicky Shuttlesworth. She worked as an IT Specialist at UT Health. She enjoyed traveling, shopping for antiques, playing Skip-bo with friends, watching her Grandkids play sports, and spending time with her family.
Barbara is survived by her husband of over 30 years, Dicky Shuttlesworth; Children; Jason Luce of Arp, Tx, and Ashley Durrett and husband Ronnie Jr. of Arp; Sisters: Vickie Stillwagon and husband Mike of Concord Tx, and Patricia Kelly and husband Paul of Cypress, Tx; and Grandchildren: Tripp Durrett, Kenley Durrett, and Kollyn Durrett.
Barbara is preceded in death by her son in 2014, Heath Shuttlesworth.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.
