Billy Lee Blevins went to be with the Lord on March 3, 2024, in Overton, TX. He was born on February 6, 1951, in Coleman, Texas, to the late Robert Lee and Anna Fay Day Blevins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Billy worked in the oilfield as a roughneck for 40 years. He loved hunting, fishing, drinking, and smoking his cigarettes. He lived a simple life and would help anybody but might bitch about it while helping. He was proud of his Indian Heritage, he was part Cherokee Indian.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ralph Elmer Blevins, sister, Patsy Montgomery King, and sister-in-law, Tammy Blevins.
He is survived by his daughter, Katherine Baker, adopted daughters, Angela Stanley and husband Samuel, and Schona Moore and husband Steve. Richard and Christi Freeland were very close family friends that would come and take him places and care for him when the family was not able to; sisters, Nita Butler and husband J.T., Effie (Tooter) Hall and husband Billy; brothers, Joey Blevins, Richard Blevins, and John Wayne Blevins and wife Nancy; grandchildren, Scott Roberson and Bailey Roberson; and nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton, TX.
