Billy Ray Stephenson Jr., of Overton, Texas, passed away on September 15, 2025, in Longview, Texas. He was born on July 10, 1965, in Longview, Texas, to Billy Ray and Patsy Jane Stephenson.

Funeral services for Billy Ray Stephenson Jr. will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton, Texas.
Visitation services for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home.
Interment will follow the service at Mason Cemetery in Arp, Texas.

Billy, a dedicated truck driver, was known for his strong work ethic, warm heart, and love for the simple joys in life. He enjoyed spending time in his garden, tending to his plants with care and pride. He had a special talent and passion for baking pies, often sharing them with family and friends. Billy was a devoted father and grandfather who found his greatest joy in the time he spent with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his two sons, Shane and Cory Stephenson; four grandchildren, Sophie, Shane Jr., Skyler, and Lillian; his brother, Danny (Amy) Stephenson; and his sister, Vickie (Chris) Roberts.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Joe Stephenson.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton, Texas.
