Bobbie Sue (Hammontree) McNeel

Funeral Service for Bobbie Hammontree McNeel, 65, Overton, is scheduled for 2:00p.m., Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home Chapel with her niece Alexandria Hammontree officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in New London, TX.

On Thursday, May 27, 2021, Bobbie Hammontree McNeel, wife, mother, grandmother, & sister, left this earthly world to enter into her eternal home. She was born June 10,1955 in Overton, Tx to the late Robert & Laura Hammontree. Bobbie graduated from West Rusk High School in 1973. She then went on to meet the love of her life Tony in 1991. Together they have been residents of Overton for 26 years. Bobbie was a caregiver & loved her family more than anything. One of her fondest memories was spending time with her siblings & enjoying going on “sib-aways” and participating in game shows such as the ‘Family Feud’. She & Tony enjoyed gardening & planting the most beautiful flowers at their home in Overton. Bobbie also loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious desserts for her family. She took extreme pride in her two children Sunni, of McKinney & Alisha (deceased), and her grandchildren Lindsey McMillian of McKinney, & Alyson McMillian of Austin, Tx for whom she would brag to anyone about them. One of her proudest achievements in life was marrying her husband Tony who supported her every day up until her very last breath.

Preceded in death by grandparents, father, Robert Roy Hammontree, Mother, Laura Mae Hammontree and daughter Alisha McNeel. Survivors include her husband Tony Jeffery, daughter Sunni Morris, 2 grandchildren, 4 sisters, 2 brothers, and many nieces and nephews, including her friend Sandy McCain who all loved her very much.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.
