Bobby “Bob” Cole, 78, of Troup, Texas, passed away on May 31, 2025. Born on January 19, 1947 in Atoka, Oklahoma. Bob lived a full and meaningful life centered around faith, family, and quiet joys.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Joyce Gossett Cole and Eulis Lee Cole, and his brother, Larry Cole.
He was raised in Oklahoma and moved to the Houston area in the seventies for work. Bob was a dedicated draftsman by trade, known for his precision, work ethic, and attention to detail. After retiring from Sasol in 2016, he and Amy moved to Troup. He was a member of Arp First Baptist Church, where he found many loving people.
He was the beloved husband of Amy Cole, married on March 22nd, 1974, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and devotion. Bob was a devoted father to Christopher Cole and his wife Melissa, and to Kimberley Richards and her husband Sean. He was a proud and loving Poppy to Brynn Richards (13), Clara Cole (10), and Logan Richards (10)—never happier than when he was outdoors with Logan or playfully teasing Brynn and Clara.
Those who knew Bob will remember his steady presence, gentle humor, and deep commitment to his family. His legacy is one of kindness, faith, and enduring love.
