Bobby Joe Davis, Sr.

Bobby Joe Davis, Sr., 70, of Overton, Texas, passed away on September 29, 2024, in Henderson, Texas. He was born on December 29, 1953, in San Fernando, California, to George Davis, Sr. and Flora Clemens.

A memorial service for Bobby Joe Davis, Sr. will be held Friday, October, 11, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home in Overton, Texas with Reverend Josh Croswell officiating.

Bobby was a long-time resident of the Overton community and a proud Navy veteran, where he proudly served in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was an extremely kind-hearted man to his children, grandchildren, as well as other children that weren’t his. He was a Baptist and knew and accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. Bobby loved to spend his time working outdoors and was deemed a caring and hardworking boss by his employees. He will forever be missed by those dear to him.

Bobby is survived by his spouse, Jeannie Davis; mother, Flora Davis; children; Kristy Davis Crymes, Heather Davis, Bobby Joe (JoJo) Davis, Jr. and Christina, Jessica Davis Linton and Nathan; grandchildren; Dane Lee Kimes, Alex Michael Nobles, Danielle McClelland and Blake, Sabrina Davis, Maeghan Davis, Colby Sanders, Tyler Davis and Penny, Jewely Dike and Kadin, Kameron English, Kaya Linton, Kinley Linton, Hayden Crymes, Emma Crymes; 7 Great Grandchild; sister, Gayle Kersh and Robert; sister-in-law, Tanya Davis; life-long friend and Navy veteran, Joe Gipson; as well as many other dear relatives and friends.

Bobby is preceded in death by his father, George Davis, Sr.; brother, George Davis, Jr.; granddaughter, Haley English; and long-time friend, Wesley Fleming.
