Bubba Howell

Bubba (Hal) Howell, 67, of Troup, Texas went to be with the Lord, on March 9, 2022, in Troup, Texas.

          Bubba was born in Rusk, Texas, To Grace Harvey, May 28, 1954. He worked in the oilfield as a truck supervisor in the East Texas area for many years. He met many lifelong friends during his time spent working. He loved his family with all his heart. His son and three grandsons were his pride and joy.

          He was well-known in the community. He loved to visit with neighbors and patrol the community to make sure all was well. Bubba had a passion for Nascar and drag racing and took Brandon to as many races as he could while growing up. He also played in a local softball league with several friends. He was a proud grandfather, watching his grandsons play baseball in the yard every Sunday.

          Bubba is preceded in death by his parents. Bubba is survived by his wife Tammy Howell of Troup; son, Brandon Howell, and wife Leslie of Troup and their three grandchildren, Case Howell, Bo Howell, and Rance Howell; sister-in-law Pam Phillips and husband Don of Tyler; sister, Betty Luther and husband Connie of Tyler, sister, Becky Paveglio and husband Jon of San Antonio; brother, Bryan Harvey of Dallas; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Paul Hamilton, Jimmy Lynn Smith, Scott Lawrence, Buddy Barnett, Michael Howard, Brad Garrett, Brady Phillips, and Carter Phillips.
