C.L. “Bud” “Mitch” Mitchell, 77, of Whitehouse, Texas, passed away on April 10, 2023, in Tyler, Texas. He was born on November 28, 1945, to the late Alton and Ruby Lee White Mitchell.
Graveside services for Mitch will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Griffin Cemetery, Troup, Texas. Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
Mitch was a resident of the Whitehouse community, and he was a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he retired after 22 years of service. He worked on numerous Air Crafts. After retiring from the Air Force, Mitch and his family moved to East Texas where he lived the remainder of his life. He was a mechanic by trade and worked at White’s Tyler Ford, now Tyler Ford. He also worked at Tru-Tex Plant Farm for many years repairing farm equipment. He attended First Baptist Church in Whitehouse. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved them with all of his heart.
Survivors include his daughter, Victoria Mitchell, and son, Bryan Mitchell; mother of his children, Brenda Mitchell; grandson, Frank Mitchell; sister, Thelma Stanley; blessed by numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Ina Lee, nephew, Kevin Stanley, and great-niece, Ashley Willis.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
