Carolyn Anthony Eaton, of Prosper, Texas, passed away on January 9, 2026, in Prosper, Texas. She was born on June 23, 1938, in Cass, Texas, to the late Robert and Jewel Anthony.
Graveside services for Carolyn will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near New London, Texas.
Carolyn worked as a bank teller, where she was known for being as conscientious as she was personable. She took great pride in her work and in serving others with care and integrity. Outside of work, she loved sewing and crafting and had a lifelong passion for animals. The family often said jokingly that she loved animals more and merely tolerated people.
Carolyn was the perfect example of a devoted wife and mother. She instilled in her daughters the importance of loving and supporting their husbands and caring deeply for family. Her thoughtful guidance, loving advice, determination, and spunk proved to be among her greatest gifts to her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and unwavering devotion that will be cherished for generations.
She is survived by her children, Kathy Nichols and husband Van, and Terry Walsh and husband Tim. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Zac Walsh and wife Rachael, Cade Nichols and wife Caitlin, Connor Nichols and wife Meagan, Mandy Herrera and husband Matthew, and Camryn Merrill and husband Brandon; as well as 15 great-grandchildren.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Ray Eaton.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Pearson Funeral Home, Overton Texas.
