Chalice married the love of her life, Gary Baier, on July 3, 1986. Their marriage was a true testament to enduring love and unwavering devotion. Together, they built a life centered on faith, grace, and selfless love, setting a powerful example for their six children. Through their bond, they taught their family to love deeply and unconditionally, just as Christ loves — a legacy of compassion and faith that will live on through generations.

Chalice Jean Baier, a devoted nurse, cherished her career in caring for others. She was a longtime member of the First Assembly of God Church in Overton, where she faithfully supported and served her church family. Her life was centered on her deep faith and unwavering love for her family. The grandbabies had the biggest room in her heart.

She had a passion for gardening and a special love for cows—each of them had a name, a tag number, and a story she knew by heart. Her daily joy was her beloved puppy, Jack-Jack, who brought endless smiles and laughter to her days. Chalice was known for her love, kindness, and generosity, touching the lives of everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Gary, and their children: Darrin Lay (Deborah), Shane Lay (Kathy), Kim Daugherty (Jimmy), Karen Waymire (Danny), Tammy Wilson, and Ron Conn (Carol).

She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and her siblings, Randy Frailey (Jan) and Carol-Ann Mills (Tom).

Chalice was preceded in death by her parents, Randal and Alice Frailey.
