Charles Leon Stallings

Charles (Chuck) Stallings, 91, of Kilgore, Texas, passed away in Tyler, Texas on April 10, 2025. Born June 15, 1933, in Calvin, Oklahoma, Chuck lived a long and whole life marked by devotion to his family, enduring friendships, and a spirit of adventure.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 2 PM at Kilgore Memorial Gardens Cemetery, State Hwy 31 & County Road 245 South.

Chuck was the youngest beloved son of Ira Victor and Duluth Stallings. He shared 56 years of life with his wife, Maryann Stallings. He was a devoted father to Donald Stallings and wife Vicki Stallings of Denver, North Carolina, Jeri Evans and husband Stacy Evans of Overton, Texas, and Kristy Russell and husband Alex Russell of Longview, Texas. His legacy continues through his grandchildren Kori Lacy of Denver, North Carolina, Cassidy Evans of Kilgore, Texas, Trenton Russell of Longview, Texas, and great-granddaughter Kenzy Lacy. Chuck was preceded in death by Taylor Russell (grandson), Oral Preston Stallings, and Ira Veston Stallings (brothers). 

Those who knew Chuck remember him for his kindness and unwavering love for his family and friends. His presence brought warmth to every gathering, and his laughter left lasting impressions on those around him.

Chuck, a man of many interests, found thrill in motorcycle adventures that took him down winding roads and open highways. He also had a passion for competition shooting, a pursuit that reflected both his focus and determination. Chuck has been an avid reader for the last twenty years and has read well over 8,000 books, as documented by Maryann. Even in quieter moments, he enjoyed playing cards with friends, where camaraderie and good-natured rivalry were always part of the game. 

Chuck will always be remembered, loved, and forever missed by his family and friends.
