Curtis Lee Lindsey, age 86, passed away on July 18, 2023. Curtis was born September 15, 1936, in Mixon, Texas to Floyd and Lucy Moler-Lindsey.
Curtis was a very competitive fox hunter. He was a Deacon at First Baptist Church of Mixon for many years. He and his loving wife, Susie Cooper- Lindsey, were the first couple to marry in the first sanctuary at First Baptist Church in 1956.
Visitation for Curtis Lee Lindsey will be from 9:00 am-9:45 am, and Service to follow at 10:00 am on Friday, July 21, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Mixon, Texas with Reverend Preston Lindsey, and Rev.Keith Lindsey officiating.
Curtis is survived by his wife; Susie Lindsey of Troup, Tx; Children; Preston Lindsey and wife Kelli of Mixon, Tx, Keith Lindsey and wife Barbara, and Kent Lindsey and wife Melissa of Mixon, Tx; Siblings; Wesley Lindsey and wife Martha, and Brenda Lindsey; Seven Grandchildren; Amber Lowry, Cassie Lindsey, Caleb Lindsey, Kala Lindsey, Ty Lindsey, Curt Lindsey, and Kristin Dickey; and seven Great-Grandchildren; Cooper Lindsey, Jack Lindsey, Cadence Ellis, Emmersyn Lindsey, Kathrine Lindsey, Lindsey Lowry, and Grady Lowry.
He is proceeded in death by his parents to Floyd and Lucy Moler-Lindsey; Sister; Deloise Huntsburger; and Grandson Gabe Coltellaro.
Funeral services are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup, Texas.
