Obituary

David Frederick Jenkinson, 78, of Troup, went home to his Lord and Savior on April 9, 2023, in Tyler, Texas. David was a Minister of the Gospel for 10 years before receiving his teaching degree from Stephen F. Austin University and taught Special Education until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Alma Jenkinson, his brother George, sisters Mona and Olive, and his granddaughter, Brooklyn.

David is survived by his wife of 55 years, Pam Jenkinson, sisters, Margaret, Cynthia (Don), Sheena (John), his brother-in-law, Steve, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Denise and John and many nieces and nephews. Daughters, Rebecca and Kelly, grandchildren, Nate, Blake, Josh (Chelsey) and Ashlie. He was a great granddad to Elizabeth, Keleigh, Zoe, Trinity, Micah, and Knox.

Graveside services for David Jenkinson will be 11:00 am, Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Bradford Cemetery, Troup, Texas with Pastor Preston Lindsey officiating.

No flowers by request. Memorials may be made in David’s name to either, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Hospice of East Texas.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
