David Ray McDaniel, 74, of Troup, passed away on January 2, 2024, in Tyler, Texas. He was born on February 12, 1949, in Troup, Texas, to the late Orval Leon and Ethel Lorene Reeves McDaniel.
Funeral services for David McDaniel will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Cottle Funeral Home, Troup, Texas with Pastor Chris Wilkins officiating, with burial following at Union Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Friday, January 12, 2024, at Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
David was a resident of the Troup community, and he enjoyed fishing, watching the Dallas Cowboys, loved racing, and spending time with his family. He retired from Jacksonville Factory Company as a Mechanic Operator, where he worked for many years. He was a member of The Clearview Church of Troup.
David is survived by his wife Dianne McDaniel of Troup; sons, Wayne McDaniel and wife Aimee of Jacksonville, and Stephen McDaniel and wife Gretchen of Kilgore; siblings, Kenneth McDaniel of Troup, Rodney McDaniel of Canton, Louise Fleetwood of Tyler, and Charles McDaniel of Tyler; 8 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
David is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jimmy McDaniel.
Pallbearers will be Trent McDaniel, Kevin McDaniel, Devin Salinas, Taylor Hyman, Aaron Johnson, and Josh Teague.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
