David Lee Vondrasek, of Winnsboro, Texas, passed away on June 25, 2025, in Tyler, Texas. He was born on February 12,1964, in Dallas, Texas, to Donald Vondrasek and Gloria (Vondrasek) Jerome.
David was a talented website creator and a proud member of the National Amateur Radio Alliance (NAR), his call number N5ITO. He was passionate about classic cars, especially his fully restored 1967 Camaro, which won numerous first-place awards at car shows. He also found great joy in caring for his saltwater fish tank and sharing that interest with family and friends. A skilled trumpeter, David cherished playing music alongside his grandson Trenton.
David proudly served his country in the Texas National Guard and passed on his love for mechanics by teaching his three children how to work on cars. His curiosity for all things computer-related and his hands-on spirit were matched only by his love for his family.
David is survived by his mother, Gloria Jerome; his children: Christopher Vondrasek (Emily), Kayla Vondrasek (Michael), and Steven Vondrasek (Courtney); his beloved grandchildren; his sisters, Donna Clauson (Rodney) and Deborah Vondrasek (Larry); and his longtime girlfriend, Ann. He also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Vondrasek, and his grandson, Trace Griffith.
Funeral services for David Vondrasek are pending final arrangements.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton, Texas.
