Deborah Driver Obituary

Deborah Ann Driver, born February 27, 1958, in Monroe, Louisiana, passed away surrounded by love. Deborah was a devoted mother to her three children and spent many years as a stay-at-home mom, a role she cherished deeply. Over the years, she also worked in various places, but her favorite was as a CSM at the “Old Walmart” in Kilgore—back when they sold fish—where she especially enjoyed working alongside her sister, Sadie, in the automotive department.

Deborah’s interests were as creative as they were heartfelt. She loved drawing and sewing, but her greatest passion was writing. She had a true gift for it, and those who knew her admired how naturally it came to her. She was generous in both love and spirit, offering whatever she could, no matter how big or small. You might leave her house with an extra table, or simply a hug and a smile.

She was the cherished wife and best friend of Andy Driver, with whom she shared 35 loving, wonderful years of marriage. Their life together was filled with laughter, unwavering support, and deep companionship.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Sims; her mother, Dollie Sims of Louisiana; her brother, Joe Sims of Kilgore; and her sister, Sadie Lopez of Liberty City.

Deborah is survived by her loving husband, Andy Driver of Kilgore; her son, Shannon Kincaid of Kilgore; her daughters, Jenny Corp and husband Wallace of Longview, and Kimberly Beebe and husband Ben of Liberty City; as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her so much joy. She is also survived by her brother, William Sims; and her sisters, Nadia Jinks, Susan Hooker, and Florence Sims. Their bond, formed in childhood, remained a source of strength and joy throughout her life.

She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and loved ones who will miss her dearly. Deborah’s memory is further honored by Kenneth Kincaid of Kilgore, the father of her children, with whom she shared a lasting friendship, along with Andy.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who has prayed for them in recent weeks, as well as to the doctors and nurses who provided such compassionate care.

Lastly, after all these years, her favorite color wasn’t purple—it turns out it was pink.
