Don Toole

Donovan “Don” Martin Toole, 78, of Troup, Texas, went to be with the Lord on November 7, 2021, at his home in Troup, Texas. He was born January 7, 1943, in Troup, Texas to the late David “Mutt” and Dorothy May Martin Toole.

Funeral services for Don Toole will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Cottle Funeral Home, with Jason Taylor officiating.

Don enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, either fishing or telling stories. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He was a retired carpenter, where he did home constructions.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Toole, and son, Joel David Toole.

He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Scahill and Matt Finamore of Tomball, son, Donovan Wayne Toole of Troup; 4 grandchildren, Kooper Scahill, Dylan Scahill, Megan Toole, and Rachel Toole; 3 great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jason Martin, Lee Briggs, Troy Keel, Joe Johnston, William Martin, Eugene Toole, and Mack Cornelison.
