Donald Lane Brown, Jr.

Donald Lane Brown, Jr., 61, of Tyler, passed away on March 12, 2021, in Tyler, Texas. He was born June 17, 1959 in Dallas, Texas to the late Donald Lane Brown, Sr., and Willie Fern Brown.

Funeral services for Donald Lane Brown, Jr., will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home Chapel, Overton, Texas with Pastors Randy Jones, Micah Jones, and Tyler Jones officiating. Burial will follow at the nearby Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm. Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.

He served with distinction and honors as a Captain in the United States Air Force, worked with the CIA, was a member of the Texas Bar Association, was a Board Certified Oil and Gas Attorney, a world traveler, son of Missionaries, and a child of God.  He worked as a lawyer for Flowers Davis Law Firm. He loved sports – lettering in three sports in high school – listening to music, golf, tennis, and would light up a room by telling jokes.

Everyone who knew him loved him.  He loved his family with all of his heart.  He was extremely generous and giving.  He tried to take care of everyone.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Brown of Tyler, children, William Evans and wife, Tia of Flint and Dr. Andrew Evans and wife, Dr. Stacey Carroll of Reno, NV; sister, Nancy Jones and husband Randy of Duncanville and their children, Micah Jones and wife, Loree, and Tyler Jones and wife, Maria Jones, sister, Ginny Ross of Dallas and her children, Chase Ross and Christian Ross and wife, Amber; grandchildren, Leia Denise Evans and Talyn Michelle Evans and many beautiful great nieces and great nephews.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.
