Donald Rogers Hamilton Jr.

Donald Rogers Hamilton Jr. (57) passed away on February 21, 2024. Born August 16, 1966, in Arp, Texas, to Donald Sr. and Janie Inez Hamilton. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and loved his country. He was stationed in Texas at Fort Hood, and he spent a year in Germany.

 He loved to talk about politics and about people who were deceased. He cried when celebrities passed and would print their pictures and sing their songs all day. He will forever be remembered fondly by his family and many friends.

 Service for Donald Rogers Hamilton Jr. will be Tuesday, February 27, 2024, from 10:00–11:00 a.m., with the service to follow at Salem Cemetery in Rusk.

 Donald is preceded in death by his mother, Janie Inez Hamilton, and brother, Steven Craig Hamilton.

 He is survived by his father, Donald Hamilton Sr.; sister, Lana Oliver and husband Billy of Arp, TX; nieces, Gina Reynolds and husband Justin; Sabrina Thorndyke and Brandi Rangel and husband Sam; nephews, Brandon Oliver and wife Angela; and Bubba Oliver and wife Christian. He will also be remembered by many great-nieces and nephews, along with a host of friends.
