Donna F. Duke

Donna Duke, 89, of Whitehouse, Texas  went to be with the Lord on Tuesday night, May 18, 2021 in Tyler, Texas.  She was born December 17, 1931, in Hugo, Oklahoma to the late Harry Chesshir and Mary Elizabeth (Kitty) Castor.

Graveside services for Donna Duke will be at 3 pm Sunday May 23, 2021 at Pinecrest Cemetery in Troup, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her son, Mark W. Duke, her brother, Vernon Chesshir from Troup and her sister, Helen Mentzel from Sherman.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Raymond V. Duke of Whitehouse; twin daughters, Sherri Priest of Whitehouse and Terri Jacque of Las Vegas; three grandchildren, Jeremy Priest of Whitehouse, Timothy Priest of Whitehouse and Christopher Jacque of Las Vegas; three great grandchildren, Gracie Priest, Zachary Priest and Henry Priest from Whitehouse; also her brother in law, Micheal Duke of Indianapolis, Indiana and several nieces and nephews.

She was raised in Fort Townsend, Oklahoma and lived in Las Vegas, Nevada, San Jose, California, England during her husband’s time in the Air Force, Troup, Texas, Chapel Hill, Texas, at Lake Caddo in Texas and Whitehouse, Texas. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
