Doris L. Allen, 93, of Arp, Texas, completed her earthly journey on August 25, 2024, in Tyler, Texas. She was born on July 21, 1931, in Oklahoma, to the late Arphie and Delbert Buckmaster.

Visitation services for Doris Allen will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M on Thursday August 29, 2024, at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home in Overton, Texas.

Graveside service to follow at 11:00 A.M on Friday, August 30, 2024, at Mason Cemetery, Arp, Texas with Rev. Tommy Harden officiating.

Doris was a resident of the Tyler community, and she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Doris loved to cook a delicious meal or dessert for anybody she could. She will forever be missed by those close to her, as well as her family and friends.

Doris is survived by her daughters; Joyce Calmes and husband Keith of Tyler; Vicki Tallant and husband Wendell of Flint; 5 Grandchildren; Scott Barton, Keith Barton, Mark Allen, Heather Williams, and Nikki Hall; multiple Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren; as well as many other dear relatives and friends.

Doris is preceded in death by her beloved husband Willie Frank Allen and her sister Joyce Musslewhite.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.
