Dorothy Helen Tarver, 83, of Troup, Texas, passed away on July 10, 2023, in Troup, Texas. She was born on September 15, 1939, in Jackson, Mississippi, to the late Chester Burchfield and Mary Virginia Flemings.
Graveside services for Dorothy Tarver will be at a later date.
Dorothy was a resident of the Troup community, she was retired from Southwestern Bell, was a Dietician, and she worked for Steele’s Feed and Seed in Troup for many years. She was attending Henry’s Chapel Church. She enjoyed spending time with his family.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Ginger Rayburn of Wells, Susan Tarver of Troup, Andy Tarver of Troup, and George Tarver of Troup; sisters, Vera Murphy of Horn Lake, MS, and Billie Ezell of Lampasas, TX; 7 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents and husband George Tarver.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
