Dr. Elizabeth Cora Howard was born November 23, 1939, in New London, Texas and went to be with Jesus on June 6, 2026 in Troup, Texas.
Elizabeth was a college professor at Grand Canyon University in Arizona for many years and an avid writer with a recent publishing. She enjoyed traveling with her friends, and she loved her dog, Hermione.
She is preceded in death by her parents Richard and Enna Crawford, sister Frances Elliott and grandson Benjamin Scott Hill, II.
She is survived by her daughter, Kiss Hill of Troup; two grandchildren, Shannon McCartney and husband Craig of Troup, and Rachel Hill of Denver; five great-grandchildren, Connor McCartney, Bendi Saucedo, Maddison McCartney, Dylan McCartney and Benjamin Canning.
Funeral services for Elizabeth Howard will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 12, 2026, at Cottle Funeral Home, Troup, Texas, with Reverend M.L. Agnew and Jack Porbeck officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., prior to the service. Burial following service at Pinecrest Cemetery, Troup, Texas.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
