Eula Lee Sloan

Eula Lee Sloan, 94, of Arp, passed away on November 20, 2023, in Arp, Texas. She was born on August 5, 1929, in Smith County Texas, to the late Thomas and Ada Boulter.

Visitation for Eula Lee Sloan will be held at Bethel Baptist Church in Chapel Hill, Tx, at 1:00 pm, Monday, November 27, 2023. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm. Pastor Gil Lain will be officiating. Interment will follow at Williams Cemetery in Chapel Hill, Tx.

Eula had a special connection with children and taught 4 & 5 year-olds in Sunday school for over 60 years at Bethel Baptist Church. She retired from Chapel Hill High School as a Tax Collector after 20 years of service. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and cryptograms, playing 42, Skip Bo, and many other games - we will always remember her silly antics while doing so. Eula loved that she lived long enough to meet her 4 great-grandkids and looked forward to family day once a month, as family was one of the most important things in her life outside of her faith. Eula (aka AhAh) was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She also had lots of family in addition to her biological family, as she welcomed and loved anyone who walked into her home. She was funny, witty, kind, and most importantly prayed for others every single day. If you knew her, know you were prayed for all the time. She leaves a legacy of faith, family and love. We will miss her dearly. 

Eula is survived by her daughter: Pamela Lindsey and husband Kevin of Longview, Tx; Brother: Chester Boulter; Grandchildren: Kurt Lindsey and wife Laura of Bullard, Tx, and Camille Ramirez and husband Brandon of Plano, Tx; 4 Great-grandchildren; Evie, Aiden, Ruby, and Daniel. She is survived by many nephews and nieces whom she dearly loved.

Eula is preceded in death by her husband; Gerald Sloan; Sisters; Lora McKay, Ola Rains, Marguerite Golden, Helen Green, and Betty McWilliam.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton, Tx.
