Obituary

Freddie June Hale, loving mother, and grandmother, entered into the presence of her heavenly Father on the morning of February 27, 2023.  Funeral services for Freddie will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 4, 2023, at First Methodist Church with the Reverend Stevie Oakes officiating. 

Freddie was also a devout Christian who came to faith in Christ at an early age.  She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Troup most of her life. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree from Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches. Freddie also found great joy in spending time with her family.   She was devoted to teaching children at Troup ISD for 35 years.

Freddie is preceded in death by her parents, Dea Elmer Gossett and Nona B. McNeese Gossett, her husband, Charles Hale, sister and brother-in-law, Jo Ruth Duran and Buster Duran, and daughter-in-law, Tammy Hale.  She is survived by her son, Rick Hale of Tyler; grandchildren, Ricky Hale, Max Hale, and Wyatt Hale all of Tyler.

Pallbearers will be Rex Worl, Scott Stovall, Randy Childress, Wade Emerson, Jeff Hale, and Bobby Garrett.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
