Gary "Rooster" Gene Stevens

Gary Gene “Rooster” Stevens, 59, of Arp, passed away on May 14, 2024, in Tyler, Texas. He was born on September 17, 1964, in Tyler, Texas, to Darrell Dean and Alice Louise Walker Stevens.

Memorial services will be Saturday, June 15, 2024, Visitation at 10:30 am and service at 11:00 am, at Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Gary was a resident of the Arp community, and he enjoyed spending time with his family. He worked for Tyler Pipe and Southwest Dairy as a TJ Driver. After that he started his trucking career until his passing.

Gary is survived by his mother Louise Stevens, brothers, Deany Stevens, and Kerry Stevens, sister, Belinda Stevens. He is also survived by his girlfriend Diane S. Howell, stepdaughter Nicole D. Vargas, step-grandkids Landon D. McCready and Aubrey M. McCready. The grandkids loved to call him Rooster. They were all very special to him and loved them dearly.

Gary is preceded in death by his father Darrell Stevens and Aunt Sherry Stevens.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church.
