Gladys Florence (Gill) Large, 95, of Overton, completed her earthly journey peacefully on September 13, 2024, in Tyler, Texas. She was born on February 10, 1929, in Overton, Texas, to the late Barron and Nettie Gill.
Visitation services for Gladys Large will be from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M on Saturday September 21, 2024, at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home in Overton, Texas.

Gladys was a lifelong resident of the Overton community, where she was known for her business “Gladys’s Antique Shop”. Gladys was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Overton where was a part of the hostess committee and the women’s bible study groups. She served as the President of the Queen Price Garden Club in Overton; President of the Kilgore Civic Garden Club; as well as Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends any chance she had. She will forever be missed by her family and loved ones.
Gladys is survived by her children; William Norman Large and Sharon of Fairfield, TX and their children; Elisabeth, Kari, Sarah, and Will; John Steven Large and Robin of Houma, LA and their children; Mandy, Megan, and Gina; David Hale Large and Peggy of Richardson, TX and their children Cody, Delanie, Hayley, and Nicholas; Susan E. Boggio of Tyler, TX and her children; Susan Thomas, Clint, and Jason; many Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren; as well as numerous other dear relatives and friends.
Gladys is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Large; parents; Barron and Nettie Gill; brothers; Joe L. Gill, Jack L. Gill, Welton Gill, Robert E. Gill, and Eddie Gill; sisters; Mattie Jackson, Lorene Dodson, Dora Middlebrooks.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.
