Glenda Childress

Glenda Childress, 83, passed away on November 17, 2025, in Troup, Texas. She was born on May 23, 1942, in Jacksonville, Texas, to Rupert and Neva Murphey.

Glenda was a seamstress and worked in retail for many years. She loved her family, spending time with her grand children and great-grandchildren, listening to George Jones, traveling, camping and going to the casinos. She was a member of Concord Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She will be forever missed by her family and friends.

Glenda is survived by her husband Ronald Edward Childress of Troup; children, Kim Anderson and husband Eric of Liberty City, and Kyle Childress of Troup; three grandchildren, Shannon Anderson and wife Victoria of Liberty City, Savanna Puckett and husband Collin of Fairfield, and Shelby Anderson and wife Logan of Liberty City; five great-grandchildren, Clay Puckett, Kodi Anderson, Lyndi Anderson, Archie Anderson, and Oran Anderson.

Funeral services for Glenda Childress will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Concord Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Troup with Reverends Jason Taylor, Dale Taylor, and David Kurtz officiating.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Cottle Funeral Home in Troup.
