Glenda Ruth Jones,74, of Arp, Texas, went to be with the Lord, on July 4, 2022, in Troup, Texas.

Memorial services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Cottle Funeral Home, Troup with Brother Frank McLeod officiating.

Glenda was born in Overton, Texas to Grady William and Ina Lee Barrett Pless, on August 5, 1947. She worked as an administrator for a nursing home for many years. She loved to bowl, she played softball till she was in her forties. She enjoyed going to plays and watching basketball games. She had a heart for “Old People.”

Glenda is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert Jones, and siblings, James Pless, Doris Robertson, Robert Pless, and Leon Pless.

Glenda is survived by her children, Robert Jason Jones and wife Samantha of Austin, Angie Jones Wilson of Arp, and Michele Brigance and husband Keith of Arp; brother, Edwin Pless and wife Joann of Arp; 6 grandchildren, Lila Jones, Kylie Turner, Blake Wilson, Corey Wilson, Zachary Brigance, and Kaley Brigance; Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
