Gloria Ann (Martin) House

Gloria Ann House, 78, of Concord, passed away on November 17, 2019, in Tyler, Texas. She was born March 16, 1941, in Concord, Texas to the late Willard and Pauline Martin.

Funeral services for Gloria will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at Concord Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Reverends David Kurtz and Duane Dougherty officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery. 

Visitation will be 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.

Mrs. House was an Elder and Deacon of Concord Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she was the organist, Sunday school teacher and a perpetual member of CPW (Cumberland Presbyterian Women’s Organization). She was a retired secretary and teller for Austin Bank.  Beloved wife, mother, Grandmama, sister, and aunt who loved and enjoyed watching her sons, grandkids, nieces and nephews play sports, participate in band and livestock shows. She also loved spending time with friends and family throughout the community. She spent years taking care of other family members.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband James House and son, Michael House.

She is survived by her son, Kerry House of Whitehouse; daughter-in-law, Melinda House of Concord; grandchildren, Caleb House and wife Morgan of Burleson, Colby House of Concord, Luke House and Hannah House both of Whitehouse; 2 great grandchildren, MacKenzie House and Blaine House both of Burleson; sister, Paula Hawkins and husband Harold of Concord; brother, Willard Martin and wife Deborah of Concord; caregiver, Katherine Sharshel; brothers-in-law, Bobby House and wife Linda of Houston, George House and wife Nelda of Coeur D’Alene, Idaho; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Colby House, Caleb House, Luke House, Charlie Mahaffey, Phillip Hawkins, Dustin Martin, Brian Norman and Chase Ashby.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Elders and Deacons of Concord Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial can be made to Concord Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 212 CR 4705, Troup, TX 75789.
