Hazel Jones Barrett,99, of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2023, in Atlanta, Texas. She was born April 29, 1924, in Montgomery County, Texas, to the late William Nunley Jones and Rozella Grigsby Jones.
Funeral services for Hazel Barrett will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 6, 2023, at First Methodist Church in Overton, Texas, with Rev. Fred Parsons and Rev. Drew Webber officiating, burial to follow at Overton City Cemetery.
Hazel enjoyed Shopping, Cleaning, Decorating, and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, R.V. (Jack) Barrett, Parents; William and Rozella Jones; 4 Brothers and 3 Sisters.
She is survived by her children; Pat (Barrett) Ping and husband Ted of Sugar Land, Tx; Shirley (Barrett)Garrett and Husband Benny of Arlington, Tx; and Jan Barrett of Atlanta, Tx. Grandchildren; Todd Ping and wife Yvonne of Atlanta, GA; Mandi (Ping)Stamper and husband Doug of Missouri City, Tx; Leah (Garrett) Moore and husband Travis of Sugar Land, Tx; Laurn (Garrett) Whitt and husband Chad of Fort Worth, Tx; and Lindsay (Garrett) Chilcott and husband Christian of Frisco, Tx. 12 grandchildren; Alexander Ping, Cameron (Ping)Fuller, Natalie Ping, Samantha Ping, Dawson Stamper, Anna Barrett (Henley) Moore, Michael Henley, Jack Henley, Travis Moore II, Taylor Moore, Leo Chilcott, and Ella Chilcott. 1 great-great-grandchild; Daisy Moore
