Helen “Aileen” Hansen, 92, of Whitehouse, went to be with her Heavenly Father on June 7, 2024, in Whitehouse, Texas. She was born on October 26, 1931, in Santa Paula, California, to the late Joe and Helen Brown Milich.
A Celebration service will be at 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Cottle Funeral Home, Troup, Texas.
Helen was a resident of the Whitehouse community, and she enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved animals, working with her hands, crafts, making wedding cakes, sewing, candles, making candy just to give away, and had a passion for big dogs. She was the church secretary at First Baptist Church of Oxnard, California for many years. She always looked for something to do to bless others. She married at 18 the love of her life and followed her husband in his military career.
Helen is survived by her children, Ruby Sheldon and husband Kenneth of Riverside, CA, Roberta Beam of Shreveport, LA, and Ronald Hansen of Tyler, TX; 4 grandchildren, Gregory Sheldon, Matthew Beam and wife Miranda, Jonathan Beam and wife Crystal, Rebekah Brister and husband Joshua; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Helen is preceded in death by her husband Robert Hansen, sisters, Iola Mosier, Josephine Briscoe, Mary Brehm and brother, Edward Milich.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
