Helen Johnson, 88, of Troup, Texas, went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2023, in Henderson, Texas. She was born January 5, 1935, at home in Henderson, Texas to the late Rubert Womack and Dorothy Virginia Wilson.

Funeral services for Helen Johnson will be at 2:00 pm, Sunday, January 29, 2023, at Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00, Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.

Helen was a wife, a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Rubert and Dollie Womack, husband, Theodore Johnson, son, Cliff Johnson, brother, George Womack, brother, Ray Womack, sisters, Lois Armitage, and Joyce Ferrell,  and brother-in-law, Rex Ferrell, and sister-in-law, Stephanie Womack.

She is survived by her daughters, Debra Kelly of Troup, and Sherri Hitt and husband Bodie of Murchison; 8 grandchildren, Lorinda Fields of Troup, Michael Dillon and wife Nicki of Troup, Andria Pressley of Troup, Coy Johnson and wife Brittany of Forney, Clint Johnson of Tyler, Paul Pressley III of Troup, Cody and wife Jessica of Troup, and Austin Hitt of Murchison; 15 great-grandchildren, Hayden Dillon, Ashton Dillon, Brittany Fields, Whittany Lacy, Alexis Shelton, Jamaal Cole, Braxton Pressley Barton, Avery Johnson, Alexa Splawn, Brynlee Johnson, Cyla Johnson, Samuel Johnson, Baylor Johnson, and Caydee Johnson; 6 great-grandchildren, Racyn Luna, R’Rhinna Lacy, Remi Lacy, Roman Lacy, and Ryleigh Lacy and one due soon; brother, Bobby Womack of Troup; sisters-in-law, Betty Womack of Longview, Louise Womack of San Antonio; sister, Lynn and Tim Sammons of Troup; daughter-in-law, Ava Johnson of Troup, A host of nieces and nephews
