Ida May Hill Parks, 94, of Arp, passed away on June 11, 2023, in Arp, Texas. She was born on March 12, 1929, in Holt, Texas, to the late William Powell and Robbie Burk Powell.
Funeral services for Ida Parks will be 11:00 am, Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church, Arp, Texas with Ron Klingsick officiating.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, prior to the service, at Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Ida was a resident of the Arp community for 67 years and a member of Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church. She retired from Tyler Rose Growers as their Bookkeeper. She loved spending time with her family, Quilting, and Crocheting.
Ida is survived by her Children, Jimmey Hill of Arp Texas, Nelda and Ronald Swinney of Arp Texas, and Gary and Martha Hill of Bullard Texas. 4 Grandchildren; Heather and Frank Smith of Arp Texas, Bill and Angie Swinney of Dayton Tennessee, Amber Hill of Arp Texas, and Cliff and Robin Hill of Arp Texas. 11 Great Grandchildren; Alexis, Micheala, Megan, Madysen, Elaina, Frank, Joshua , Austie , Truett, Christina, and D’Onnah ; 12Great- Great Grandchildren, Brother; Norman Powell. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Ida is preceded in death by her parents William Reed Powell and Robbie Angeline Powell, and her husband’s Ray L. Hill and Hubert Parks.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.
