Jack Jenks Hoover, of Kilgore, Texas, passed away on June 2, 2025, in Kilgore, Texas. He was born on March 9, 1934, in Gladewater, Texas, to the late Jonas and Edna Hoover.
Jack, a proud U.S. veteran and longtime Material Coordinator, was a devoted member of London Baptist Church. His faith was central to his life, and he joyfully shared his love for the Lord with everyone he met.
A wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and uncle, Jack was deeply committed to his family. He loved watching his grandsons play baseball, spending time fishing, and took great pride in caring for his yard. His strength, warmth, and kindness made a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Doris Hoover; his grandson Jared Hoover and wife Chelsie Hoover; his nephew Robert Hoover; and his niece Marci Walker and her husband Mike Walker.
Jack was preceded in death by his beloved son, John Hoover; his grandson, Jeff Hoover; his parents, Jonas and Edna Hoover; his brother Frank Hoover and sister-in-law Jo Hoover; his brother Micky Hoover and sister-in-law Ruth Hoover; and his nephew Billy Hoover.
Jack Jenks Hoover lived a life of service, devotion, and love. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him.
