James “Jim” Clay Carter Jr., age 67, passed away on July 20, 2023. James was born July 7, 1956, in Kilgore, Texas to J.C. and Marianna Carter. He resided in Overton, Texas.

He was a 1974 Graduate of Leverett’s Chapel. He was active in Football, Golf, and was a Drummer in the Band. Jim loved to tinker on cars and around his house, enjoyed fishing, was an animal lover, and was an all-around Outdoor Man. He worked in the Oilfield and Petro Industry for over 10 years. He was a member and was Baptized at Laird Hill Methodist Church.

James is survived by his uncles; Lee Bryan and Lewis Bishop; Aunt; Billie Carter; Niece; JoAnna Swain; Brother-in-law; David Swain; several cousins, and Special friends.

He is proceeded in death by his parents J.C. and Marianna and Sister, Ann Swain.

Private Burial with a Memorial Service at a later date.
