Jessie Elaine Steere

Jessie “Elaine” Steere, 83, of Overton, Texas, went to be with Our Lord on August 23, 2023, in Kilgore, Texas. She was born on July 29, 1940, in Plano, Texas, to the late Robert and Jessie Bell Loftice.

Elaine was a resident of the Overton community and a member of the First Baptist Church of Kilgore. She worked at Trinity Lutheran Church as a business manager until retirement. Elaine loved to read, arrange flowers, and paint pictures of nature. She was a beloved mother and grandmother.

A memorial service will be held at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 29th at 11:00 a.m. Officiated by David Hampton.

Elaine is preceded in death by her Parents, Robert, and Jessie Bell Loftice; Son-in-law; Dan Lindley; and Sister; Linda Loftice.

Elaine is survived by her Husband Billy Steere and brother Robert M. Loftice and wife Diane; sister Betty and Husband George Taylor; Her children; Sandy Lindley, and Raymond and wife Tina Martin, and Gregg and wife Barbara Steere; Grandchildren; Doug and wife Marie Lindley, Miranda Lindley, and husband Mark Gonzales, and Alex Steere; Sister-in-Law; Jurretta Drake . She is survived by 4 Great-Grandchildren, many loved nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.
