Joe Edd Vance, 76, of Whitehouse, passed away on December 18, 2023, in Whitehouse, Texas. He was born on January 24, 1947, in Troup, Texas, to the late Edgar Thomas and Doris Womack Vance.

Funeral services for Joe Vance will be 10:00 am, Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Clearview Church, Troup, Texas, with Pastor Chris Wilkins and Jim Gambill officiating. Burial to follow at Pinecrest Cemetery, Troup.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.

Joe was retired the United States Postal services as a window clerk for 36 years, He was also a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a resident of the Whitehouse community, and he enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, and taking care of his garden. He was a member of Clearview Church, Troup.

Joe is survived by his wife, Deborah Vance of Whitehouse; sons, Russell Vance and wife Aida of Troup, and Kevin Vance and wife Anna Beth of Mt. Vernon; sisters, Levenia Agnew of Deer Park, and Nawatha Cahill of Chandler; brother, Herb Shubert and wife Sharon of New Orleans, LA; 8 grandchildren, Colby Vance, Colton Vance and wife Georgette, Tayler Vance, Corey Vance and fiancé Alexandria, Tristen Vance, Jayden Vance, Katie Joe Vance and Jameson Vance.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Colby Vance, Colton Vance, Corey Vance, Tristen Vance, Jayden Vance, and Brady Smith.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the men of Clearview Church and grandson, Jameson Ace Vance.
