John Wallace Harmon

John Wallace Harmon, 84, of Tyler, Texas, passed away on November 8, 2023, in Whitehouse, Texas. He was born on March 27, 1939, in Sherman, Texas, to the late Ira Edward and Alma Morrison Harmon.

Funeral services for John Harmon will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Cottle Funeral Home, Troup, Texas, with Reverend Sherman Mayfield officiating, with burial following at Pinecrest Cemetery, Troup.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 2023, prior to the service.

John retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as a Conformance Tester for 43 years. He was an expert in electronics and repairs. He was raised in the Methodist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

John is survived by his daughter, Donna Wright of Aledo, TX; son, John Harmon and wife Caryl of Whitehouse, TX; 9 grandchildren, Michael Wright, Jessica Brockner, Deonna Margraves, Valerie Howard, LeeAnn Lloyd, Tyler Lloyd, Chelsea Conder, Bryan Smith, and Jessica Smith; 7 great-grandchildren, Lucas Richa, Brynlee Howard, Kate Margraves, Corbin Conder, Cayson Conder, Harrison Smith, and Jameson Smith.

John is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Betty Ann Harmon, daughter, Jonna Lloyd, stepsister, Sue Morrison, and baby brother.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
