Joy Gray

Joy Sapp Gray, 88, of Garland, passed away on October 23, 2023, in Garland, Texas. She was born on September 10, 1935, in Lyons, Georgia, to the late Cannie and Mary Phillips Sapp.

Graveside services for Joy Gray will be 11:00 am, Saturday, November 4, 2023, at McDonald Cemetery, New Summerfield, with Reverend Donny Sadler officiating.

Joy was a member of a Baptist Church. She was a retired dietician from Richardson ISD. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed listening to country music.

Joy is survived by her daughter, Sandra Morris and husband Colin of Garland; son, Paul Gray and Bridgette Vanderslice of Mesquite; brother-in-law, Glen Gray and wife JoAnn of Houston; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Joy is preceded in death by her husband, Winfred Gray and her parents, Cannie and Mary Sapp, and her siblings.

Pallbearers will be Paul Gray, Barry Bass, Richard McLeary, and Mike Schoellman.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
