Joyce Pannell Nayfa

Joyce Pannell Nayfa, 76, of Troup, passed away on February 3, 2025, in Troup, Texas. She was born on May 4, 1948, in Bexar County, Texas, to the late William Reginald Pannell, Jr. and Jewell Henrietta Merritt.

Graveside service for Joyce will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Salem Cemetery, Arp, Texas with Pastor Steven Oakes officiating.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Cottle Funeral Home in Troup, Texas.

Joyce was a resident of the Troup community, and she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of the Gospel Barn in Troup. She worked as a Nurse for more than 30 years. She will forever be missed by her family and friends.

Joyce is survived by her lifelong friend and former husband, Sam Nayfa of Troup, Tx; 4 daughters, Donna Bowden and husband Kevin of Center, Tx; Michelle Adams of Troup, Tx; Roxanne Nayfa of Troup, Tx; and Danette Johnston and husband Sid of North Richland Hills, Tx; brother, James Pannell and wife Vickie of Troup, Tx; 8 grand-children, Tiffany Johnston and husband David; Brett Devine and husband Chris; Jen Johnston; Hanna Phillips; Chris Phillips and wife Alex; Mitch Adams and wife Jaci; Matt Adams and wife Juli; Kamren Bowden; and Nick Buckner and wife Jocelyn; 3 great-grandchildren, Carlin, Claire, Sofia and one on the way; numerous nieces and nephews; also by her work family at Angel Care Hospice of Henderson, Texas.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, John Pannell and son-in-law, Bill Adams.

Pallbearers will be Mitch Adams, Matt Adams, Chris Phillips, Nick Buckner,  Kamren Bowden and Marquil (JuJu) Davis.
