June Sampson

June Sampson, 92, of Troup, Texas, passed away on June 12, 2025, in Tyler, Texas. She was born on August 3, 1932 in Mabank, Texas to the late Emmett and Ruby Wood Mullins.

Funeral services for June Sampson will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Cottle Funeral Home, Troup, Texas. Burial at Pinecrest Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, June 13, 2025, at Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.

June was a resident of the Troup community, and she enjoyed spending time with her family. She worked many years in Insurance, Home Interior and gifts, and homemaker. She was a member of Henry’s Chapel Methodist Church. She will forever be missed by her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, mother who raised her, Tressie Mullins, and brother and sister-in-law, Royce and Betty Mullins.

June is survived by her husband, Al Sampson of Troup; son, Kevin Alton Sampson and wife Kelly of Troup; grandsons, Spencer Sampson, Jared Jones and Justin Jones all of Troup; nieces, Debbie Claybrook of Dallas, and Diane Nelms of Allen, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Henry’s Chapel Church Methodist Church, PO Box 601, Troup, Texas 75789.

Pallbearers will be Spencer Sampson, Greg Sampson, Dakota Faris, Gary Kelly, Jared Jones, and Brian Brooks.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Doug Groom, Justin Jones, Logan Stubblefield, Patrick Bohon, and Doug Steele.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
