Kevin Thomas McElroy, 65, of Troup, Texas, passed away on March 26, 2026.
He was born on January 7, 1961, in Tyler, Texas, to Gerald McElroy and Thelma Archer Walker.
A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at The Gospel Barn with the Reverends Steven Oakes and David Baker. The burial will follow at Henry's Chapel Cemetery.
A visitation will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cottle Funeral Home Troup Tx.
Kevin was a man who deeply loved his family and cherished every moment spent with them. His home was often filled with loved ones, laughter, and togetherness—something he valued above all. He had a passion for fishing, gardening, and working with cattle, and he took great pride in his work, to which he was wholeheartedly dedicated.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Marnie McElroy of Troup; his son, Casey McElroy and wife Amber of Troup and step-son Kyle Neal of Tyler; his siblings, Chloe McElroy and Sharon Lubcker of Troup, and Glen Boyd Jr. and wife Connie of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Bryce McElroy, Jensen McElroy, Carson “C Mac” McElroy; great grandchild Marley McElroy; his aunts Dink Latham and Murel McElroy and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
Kevin will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love of the outdoors, and most of all, his unwavering devotion to his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
