Larry Thomas Archer

Larry Thomas Archer, 70, of Troup, passed away on September 22, 2023, in Troup, Texas. He was born on April 20, 1953, in Texarkana, Texas, to the late Thomas and Idella “Dell” Mills Archer.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.

Larry was a resident of the Troup community for 40 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a retired Auto Technician, which enjoyed spending time with his family. His passions were for fishing, hunting and being outdoors.

Larry is survived by his wife Cherie Archer of Troup; children, Wonita Archer and husband James Henderson of Troup, Thomas Archer of Troup, J.R. Thomas and wife Rachel of Chapel Hill; sister, Evelyn Archer of Texarkana; grandchildren, Colten Archer, Violet Thomas, T. J. Tabor.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Terry Goforth and Conita Barber.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Mikey Covey, James Burnett, Nathan Robinson, Cary Lee Guess, Justin Alderete, Benny Kilon, and Cecil Fellow.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
