Laura J Wilson

Laura Sue Wilson, 82, of Overton, TX, passed away on May 26, 2025, in Overton, Texas. She was born on April 30, 1943, in Beaumont, Texas, to Aubrey Sr. and Violet Turner Joffrion.

Laura was a resident of the Overton community, and she enjoyed spending time with her family.  She worked as a secretary for many years. She enjoyed making flower arrangements, planting, gardening, going to Goodwill, and garage sales. She will forever be missed by her family and friends.

Laura is preceded in death by her parents, husband Norman Gene Wilson, 4 brothers, 1 sister, and 2 sons-in-law, Kenneth Hackney and Marvin Rust.

Laura is survived by her 6 children: Laura Jean Hackney, Elizabeth Brock and husband David, Patricia Webb and husband Charles, Michele Rust, April Villalobos and husband TC, and Samantha Villalobos; 1 brother, Kenneth Joffrion and wife Kathy; sister-in-law, Stephanie “Kitten” Joffrion; 31 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Pearson Funeral Home, Overton, Texas.
