Laurie Ann Allen

ARP, TEXAS - Laurie Ann Allen, 66, of Arp, Tx passed away in Tyler, Tx on January 29, 2021. Laurie was born September 24, 1954 to the late Wilton Hewes and Mozelle Massey Milstead in Houston, Tx. 

Laurie married the love of her life Phillip Allen on September 5, 1981 in Houston, Tx. She was a member of Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church. Laurie worked as a registered nurse for 40 years. In her career she worked at MD Anderson Houston, Tx; Memorial Herman Houston, Tx; Good Shepherd Longview, Tx; Mother Frances Tyler, Tx.  Laurie had a special gift for helping and caring for others. She excelled in her profession and made a significant impact on many lives. Laurie enjoyed sewing, cooking and going to the lake. She loved being LaLa to her grandchildren Charlotte and Preston Lambeth. 

Laurie was preceded in death by her parents Wilton Hewes and Mozelle Massey Milstead and her mother-in-law Baba Allen. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Phillip Allen of Arp, Tx; daughter Kacie Lambeth and husband Kent of Flint, Tx; son Richard Cory Allen of Arp, Tx; brother T.H. Milstead and wife Melissa of Houston, Tx; sister Jan Moss and husband Gary of Sargent, Tx; sister Kay McKinney and husband Terry of West Columbia, Tx; grandchildren Charlotte and Preston Lambeth; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Honorary pallbearers are Skyler Moss, Scott Burrer, Kent Lambeth, Brooks McKinney, Will McKinney, and John Hewes Milstead. 

Graveside services for Laurie Allen will be Sunday January 31, 2021 at 1pm at Mason Cemetery Arp, Tx. Service will be officiated by Reverend Dr. Ron Klingsick and Reverend Tommy Harden. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle-Peason Funeral Home Overton, Tx.
