Leonard Don Melton, 62, of Troup, passed away on March 3, 2025, in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana. He was born on August 26, 1962, in Orange, Texas, to Billy Melton and Patricia Brown.

Memorial services for Leonard will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Cottle Funeral Home, Troup, Texas.

Leonard was a resident of the Troup community, and he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an electrician. He will forever be missed by his family and friends.

Leonard is survived by his mother Patricia Brown Green and husband Bob, of Troup; father Billy Melton and wife Martha of Troup; daughter Amanda Michelle Melton of Arlington; step-siblings Scott Mitchell and wife Gail of Newton, CT, Melanie Schilmoeller and husband Marty of Bedford, Melissa Alt and husband Billy of Rockwall, and David Mann and wife Miyuky of Jonestown, CO; granddaughter Rinoa Turner.

Leonard is preceded in death by his sister Angela Grace Melton.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
